Errol's Dog Story
One day I was doing nothing, suddenly a dog came up and tortured me. I became weary of it, it led me to the miners yard where a bunch of crooks was, they didn’t seem crooky but friendly.
Anyway, they seemed friendly and asked me what’s my name and where I live, I told them where I lived and what I was doing.
Anyway, I followed the dog and they led me to a railway line, this railway line was no railway line, it had no tracks on and nothing was going either way.
Anyway, I decided enough was enough I called the dog, but he wasn’t there at the times, I shouted and shouted, here boy! here boy! and I decided to walk it home through the trickles and the tree trunks. I sauntered my way home. When I got home my mother said, I hope you had a nice time outside, where have you been? I said through the tree trunks and bushes and all those kinds of places where trees and bushes grow.
Anyway, I was out of breath and I wanted to drink something, so I put on the kettle and I made myself a cup of tea.
Anyway, after my drink I had to look for the dog, Oh Boy. I said, where are you boy in a loud manner, nothing came up. So, I ran away to look for it. It was a long long time before I found it. It was playing with some other dogs. Oh, I said there you are boy, come on let’s go home and he did so. Later on I found itself with some other man, drunkards and it pushed itself against the drunkards and it got free. I said come on boy our house is just up the road, but it got stopped by some gangsters. The dog growled and I thought I would fight with all my might. Afterward I was out of breath so I said to him lets go home, I’ll make you a hot cup of Bovril.
In the morning paper yesterday, it said thieves came up and had a fight with somebody and it wondered who it was.
Anyway, it would like to have a chat with the person who beat these thieves for they was aware about one or two incidents these thieves might have done, so we had a chat at the police station and the dog barked whenever he remembered the faces of the crooks. So, at the police station the man took out some pictures and the dog barked and he remembered pictures from the incident. So, um and he can remember the man with the one eye and this man had no incidents about him.
Anyway, the dog growled wherever he saw him. He remembered him.
So the crooks tried to get away but as cars stopped it both sides, back and forth it went, so out jumped the same man and with two hands up in the air he said “not me officer” but then the other crook got away. So I asked him where had the crook gone, so he said London, so the police searched for the man, they found him. You never guess where. In the gents! (at this point Errol laughs and laughs and laughs)
So he got a 12 year sentence in jail.
And guess what the name of the dog was. Bones!
The End
I called Errol in hospital this morning 10/06/20 to have a chat with him.
I asked him if he would like me to read him a story, I read out a selection of about 7 ideas he selected the story of the dog. Just as I was about to read it to him he started telling me the above story.
Without very little pause or hesitation Errol continued to tell me the story for 45 minutes.
