Collaborations
We’re always looking to raise the profiles of our artists by pairing with some of the most esteemed organisations and galleries in the UK. In recent years we’ve worked with Barbican Centre, Wellcome Collection, Southbank Centre, Autograph Gallery and It’s Nice That among others. These opportunities not only help to strengthen the financial and cultural value of self–taught art, they also give our artists the opportunity to share their own artistic practices and personal experiences directly with the public.
Public Talks & Events
In addition to exhibiting work, our artists have also delivered a range of talks and workshops to the public at a range of leading galleries including Royal Academy, Pallant House Gallery and Autograph Gallery. These events give a direct platform for our artists to talk about the experience of working as an artist outside the mainstream, and what that means to them.
Since 2019, we’ve delivered a series of talks and workshops in partnership with Counterpoint Arts at Tate Modern and Turner Contemporary. We’ve also previously collaborated with Wellcome Collection to run a series of public and internal talks and workshops.
Commissions & Editorial
We have supported our artists to undertake a number of brand commissions; these provide an additional platform to showcase work outside of the traditional visual arts community, whilst furthering the skills and capabilities of the studio.
In 2019, Hart Club and Unltd commissioned 3 artists to create portraits of local entrepreneurs as part of a social enterprise marketing campaign. In 2020, more than 20 artists worked on an illustration commission for It’s Nice That to accompany a long-read article.
