The Artist
From fashionable models in flares, to birds, flowers and Elvis, anything Cecil chooses to draw is brought to life and given unique character. His expressive lines and confident use of colour create a world of characters that could all be pulled from the pages of the same story. After an adventure-filled life that took him from Guyana to London as a young stowaway, Cecil only began drawing when he started attending Headway East London in his mid 60s. Now in his 80s, he is as full of energy and zest for life as ever.
