Trevor Small
The Artist
I were born in Kingston Jamaica in 1967. I used to do auto mechanics, that was my profession and when I came here in 2000 I took ill. I was in hospital for 2 and half years, I couldn’t even sit up. It’s been a long journey.
I never do art at school. Headway is where I start my art program and I find it really successful. When I came here I just met myself. It makes me feel great.
The sewing keeps me going and I find it skilful. It has helped me get past auto mechanic and move onto something else. I get more acquainted with my right-hand side. A person with a brain injury leave the past and move on.
